Could you add a button for we can change to 88 Keys in the Practice Display?
Hi Stephen:
I'd like to know if you could add a button for we can change to 88 Keys in the Practice Display.

ok, FINALLY DONE !!
MidiConfiger has a new config dialog that'll let ya do this.
There's a new wrench toolbar button (farthest right).
There are a couple weird misc things to config in there.
If you UN check the "user minimum notes" it'll always display the full
range of keys.
Also, you can tweak how often the PianoNotes display refreshes to keep it from grinding your cpu too hard :/I'm eventually going to move to PianoNotes that are static and do a "bar flip transition" just like sheet music does.

this is getting closer, at least :/
MidiConfiger will have some display options:
display width: minimum needed or keys __ to __
also checks for show scale color, show chord position #s
(so you can show just plain white/black with red/blue outline - per hand)but this is still probably 1.5 months out (-ISH, always -ISH :)

Maybe you have reason, but I've been using others softwares for a long time who works with falling notes up to down and I have some problems with the down to up movement, so I thought that it could be a good idea asking if it was possible to add this feature where a PianoCheater user could choose between "up to down" or "down to up". I understand you have your own ideas about that and although in this case they are different to my ideas, but PianoCheater has others features that are really good for me and I can enjoy.
And about the solution for 88 keys, I'll wait for the 88 keys button. -
btw, for a full 88 notes, open .mid in Tinkerer, go to end of song, make sure one melodic (non drum) track is selected, click in a note on 0a and 8c, save. Now you got a full 88.

sorry, nope. My reasoning is that... Music notation is important to get right. And piano roll notation is a valid notation. Why would I want to print out notation that had to be read bottom to top? I want to do it the right way. Just because other programs do it that way doesn't make it right.
As far as vc++2002 versus 2010 express, eh, not much difference. Except that 2002 won't run on my new win7 machine because microsoft doesn't support it on their OWN os...:(
But the free vc++2010 express + resedit does everything I need it to c++ wise. So I'm ok with it. This weekend was wasted on the upgrade and finding a FRACKIN subtle bug tho. Made no progress :( And work has been a paaaain lately :( Ok, time to quit whinin' :) But no new code till next weekend i theen... -

Could you also add another button for we can choose if we want the notes in the piano roll can go down to up or up to down?
and btw, what do you prefer vc++ 2010 or studio.net2002 ?

sorry, not yet.
but i'll put it on the "nice to have" list...
i still need to turn the main screen's track list into a "regular" list control.
With BUTTONS for the ?/# track modes, etc.
When I do that i'll get this in.lately, i'm fighting win7 - my visual studio.net2002 won't install on it :(((
gotta go to vc++ 2010 express and "resource builder" app (hopefully that works)
